NAMAL launches High Yield Fund
The NAMAL High Yield Fund is an open ended Unit Trust managed by National Asset Management. .
The Fund will invest in short term commercial paper, trust certificates and corporate debt to obtain significant yield enhancement at low to moderate levels of risk. NAMAL will diversify the portfolio across asset classes, issuers and maturity profiles and conduct detailed evaluation of the financial strength of issuers.
Corporate investors will benefit from a significant tax saving as the NAMAL High Yield Fund is taxed at 10%. Individual investors will benefit from yields significantly higher than one year Treasury Bill and Fixed Deposit rates. The dividends and capital gains from unit trusts are exempt from tax.
The NAMAL High Yield Fund offers daily liquidity for investors wishing to invest or redeem units.
