NEF Dividend Announcement

NAMAL is pleased to announce a dividend of Rs.2.50 per Unit to the Unit holders of the National Equity Fund for the period ended 28th February 2011.

The dividend will be paid to all Unit holders, whose names appear in the register of the National Equity Fund, as at 3.00 pm on 30"‘ March 2011. All those who have made applications for redemption up to 3.00 pm on 30"‘ March 2011 will not be entitled to the dividend.

Those who have paid by cheque to purchase Units in the Fund on or up to 3.00 pm on 30"‘ March 2011, will be entitled to the dividend, irrespective of whether their cheques have realised or not. However, they will not be entitled to the dividend if the cheques are dishonoured or payment is stopped.

Those who have opted to reinvest their dividend in the fund will be issued with a Unit certificate in accordance with the Trust Deed.

All Units will be quoted ex-dividend with effect from 31“ March 2011.

  • Dividend per Unit — Rs. 2.50
  • Outstanding number of Units — 68,471,141
  • Net Asset Value per Unit before the dividend - Rs. 32.99
  • Net Asset Value per Unit after the dividend - Rs. 30.49 (c-a)
  • Net income distribution per Unit — Nil
  • Net capital gain distribution per Unit — Rs. 2.50
  • Cumulative unrealised appreciation / Depreciation per Unit as at 28"‘ February 2011 - Rs. 11.97
