Investment Philosophy
“Value Investing” is an in-grained investment philosophy at NAMAL. Its investment philosophy has been clearly deployed from in our Asset Management process and in our investment processes.
Our primary objective in equity fund management is to provide absolute capital appreciation by investing in equities, where the price does not reflect the intrinsic value of the company correctly. Equity investment selection will be based on a vigorous “equity investment process” based on fundamental research and valuation grounds.
In fixed income management, we focus on the need for capital preservation and income and the liquidity requirements of the portfolio. Our securities selection is based on our “debt investment process” where we carry out detailed analysis of the credit profile, income generation, interest and cash cover and gearing position of the issuer.
We adopt a rigorous and disciplined Investment Management process for both Unit Trust funds and Discretionary portfolios. It involves Consulting & Planning, Asset Allocation Strategy, Portfolio Implementation and Monitoring & Reallocation.
